Alessandro Michele é um dos principais diretores criativos da Gucci, e é o responsável por todas as coleções e a imagem da marca ao redor do mundo. Nessa última semana, foi lançada uma nova conta no Instagram assistida por ele, chamada “Gucci Beauty”.

Os posts contam com imagens de obras selecionadas à dedo por Michelle. Cada uma das artes vem de coleções privadas e as legendas descrevem meticulosamente todos os detalhes e elementos possíveis relacionados à cada uma. O time administrando o Instagram inclui cinco especialistas em arte que são os responsáveis por escrever cada uma dessas descrições.

A ideia dele é que a página se apresente como se fosse um museu virtual, e não um conta comum, com propagandas, fotos de seus produtos, maquiagens e modelos.

Cada post tem uma legenda indicando o título da obra, o autor, o ano em que foi realizada, o país e a cidade; possibilitando ao seguidor a se contextualizar apropriadamente. E além disso, as obras não seguem uma época ou grupo específico, dessa forma, explorando as diversas formas e técnicas de beleza que existiram ao decorrer da história até atualmente, e todas as diferentes interpretações possíveis da “beleza” ao redor do globo.

Museum: Chatsworth House, Derbyshire ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although he much preferred landscape painting to portraiture, Thomas Gainsborough became the preeminent British portraitist during the mid-to late-18th century. Gainsborough painted Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, numerous times, but this 1785 portrait of the English socialite, writer, and progressive political activist with a wild home and social life gained particular notoriety. It entered the collection of @chatsworthofficial in 1994. What most stands out most is the large black hat atop Georgiana’s head. Her works deal with intersectional identity, which for Kennedy Doig is informed by her experiences in Port of Spain and London. This is an oil painting that portrays two young women, friends in front of a mirror, staring at their own reflections. One figure, applies makeup, heightening her own sense of beauty while the other female casts a glance upon her. The expression captured in the onlookers gaze contributes to an atmosphere tinged with perhaps a small dose of envy.
